Long Street Methodist Church
The Church Foundation Stones.
The Foundation Stones for the New Wesleyan Church were laid in a ceremony on Saturday the 7th April, 1900. These stones carved with the initials of the individuals who laid them are located at the Eastern end of the Church on the outside of the main porch and down the steps of the Main entrance on Long Street.
Two sets of initials are on the Brick Pillar just outside the iron gates

A large number of foundation stones were laid by other Church members, these can be located over the fireplace in the Ladies Room, on the outside of the Main Hall near the door from the Quadrangle and also along the back wall of the Hall.South Wall inside the Hall.

Brass plaques containing initial were also installed but these have long since disappeared.
